Nice Question.

OK let me tell you something. During the change of state no change in temperature and pressure is required.

How???

Let's take the example of water. Suppose we have to boil a glass of water. How am I supposed to do it. Number one I will put it on a burner and heat it. Number two I will reduce the pressure so much that it just vanishes into air.

Now you will ask me that there is clearly a change in temperature and pressure. But no, you said during the change. During the change of state all the heat energy supplied is used to change the intermolecular space, so no change in temperature and pressure can be noticed.

Hope it helps :)

we have change in this way as follows a material will change from one state or phase to another at specific combination if temperature and surrounding pressure .Typically the pressure is atmospheric pressure so temperature is the determining factor to the change in state ..
names such as boiling and freezing are given to the various change in state of material will increase until it reaches the point where the change takes place .It will stay at that temperature untill that change is completed. Change makes in the temperature everytime to change the state of matter....
