Answer:-

No, we don't use hydrogen as domestic fuel because hydrogen has the highest calorific value and gives out a lot of heat and energy. Hydrogen is easily able to catch fire which means it's highly combustible and it reacts with oxygen when it comes in contact with air. And hence as a result, storing of the hydrogen gas is very difficult and it is also very dangerous. So, therefore it cannot be used as a domestic fuel.

Disadvantages of hydrogen fuel:-

  • It is expensive.
  • It is difficult to store.
  • It is not easy to replace exiting infrastructure.
  • It is highly flammable.
  • It is dependent on fossil fuels.
