Heavy taxes, oppression by money lenders, landlords, revenue officials were the main reason for the rising of the rebellion. Under Sidu and kanhu rose against the oppressors and declared themselves independent in 1854. However, Sido died in 1855 and Kanhu arrested in 1866.
