yes, acute and chronic diseases have different effect on our health.
acute diseases are short term diseases and get cured in a short period of time. so it doesn't get enough time to affect our body.
but on the other hand, chronic diseases are long term diseases and takr long time to get cured, hence the microbes get enough time affect our body.

Acute diseses are short time period diseses and can be cured easily but chronic diseases are long term diseases which last longer and hard to cure it. So as you see chorinc diseses stay longer so it effects more because disease causing factor stay longer in the body and cause more damage with time. So both has different effect on our body.
