After spending two years in Brobidingnag, Gulliver wished to return home. Although his life was quite comfortable there; he always faced threats because of his tiny size in the country of the giants. His wish for freedom was fulfilled quite unexpectedly; he had never thought that luck would help him so much! Given below is the account of his fortunate escape from the land of giants:

Once, Gulliver went on a tour to the south coast of Brobidingnag with the King and Queen. Glumdalclitch was also with them to take care of Gulliver. Gulliver requested Glumdalclitch to let him go down to beach with a servant. Glumdalclitch agreed and the servant carried the Gulliver's travelling box down to the beach. Once they reached the beach, Gulliver decided to take a nap. He shut the entrance to his box and dozed off. He woke up with sudden jolts. It seemed to him that his box was lifted by some huge bird. Later on the bird dropped the box into the sea. Finally, the box fell near a ship and he was rescued by the crew. The captain did not believe Gulliver's stories about Brobidingnag. But when Gulliver showed him the things he had accidentally brought with him. He showed him the comb made out of the stumps of King's beard, needles, pins that were a yard in length, the Queen's gold ring, etc. Finally the ship arrived in Englan on June 3, 1706.
