The attempt to overthrow the British and expel them from India was unsuccessful. The British were to impose severe measures on the Indians for their 'disloyalty'. Although resentment of the British was a single cause to fight for, the Indians were not co-ordinate or united in what they hoped to achieve.They did not have to cross long roads and grounds to deliver a message or order but could simply wire it with a few minutes.latter cooperating with the United States. The occupying outside state withdraws because of defeat at the War of 1857, and the reasons for British victory and Indian failure .On 1 November 1858, the British granted amnesty to all rebels not involved in murder, though they did not declare the hostilities .
