Yes,
India can be said to be living in a dangerous neighbourhood.
China and Myanmar, the two nearest neighbours are said to be very complex.
The South Asian region is also full of contradictions, disparities and paradoxes.
In the post-colonial period the South Asia has been a a theatre of inter-state as well as civil wars.
Hence it faces many challenges in terms of foreign policies, which affects the growth and development of the economy, and strengthen the economic spine of the country.

Hope it helps.
