Yes, the intensity of light would effect the rate of photosynthesis. The violet-blue and the red light are the most useful for the process of photosynthesis as because of the chlorophyll molecules of the chloroplasts absorb the violet-blue and red light(especially these colours are the most helpful in driving photosynthesis) as they reflect and even transmit the green light.
