Yes, both are similar as both obtained from animals. Silk is obtained from silkworms and wool from sheep, etc. Weaving of both these can be done on a power or hand loom or by several manual methods also. Both of them are very soft and smooth fibres so can be spun easily.

Answer:

1) Both silk and wool weaving is done on power looms as well as on hand looms .

2) woollen threads are stretched from the top of the loom to the bottom . these are called warp threads .

3) Threads that go side to side are weft threads .

4) A Shuttle like big needle takes the weft threads over and under warp threads .

5) One more important part of the loom is the harness .

6) The harness lifts other warp thread so that the weft threads go over one and under the next .

7) all types of yarn whether cotton or silk or wool etc ., are woven in this manner
