Do you know what was the biggest mountain before the search of Mt. Everest?

K2 is the second-highest mountain on Earth, after Mount Everest and is located on the border of Pakistan and China. It is also known as the Savage Mountain due to the difficulty of ascent and the second-highest fatality rate among the “eight thousanders” for those who climb it.

Before Mt. Everest was searched, the highest mountain peak was Everest only. Just because we didn't know it, didn't mean it was not there. Mt. Everest was still the highest peak.
