A few films leave a lifelong impact on our brains. So much that if u watch a film 10 yrs ago when u were young then maybe after that u might have watched the film each month, you won't be tired of watching it.The same thing has happened with me.
yes our choices do change as we grow up. lets take an example of colours. when u were younglike 3 to 7 yrs 8 yrs old maybe u liked light colours like pink, light blue, light green etc. But as you grew up you started thinking practically and know you like more darker coulours or neon colours.The happens with films. As a young child I liked barbie movies or kids movies but now as a teen i like haunted movies but the movies which have left an impact on my brain I would still pefer that movie to be watched first. But you might have ovserved that our parents love old movies so this was my answer to your question hope it helps.
