Answer:

                 Adversity brings people together

Undoubtedly, adversity brings unity, tolerance, and nostalgia. Though no one wants adversity, yet adversity proves a blessing in disguise. Let’s see how it happens.

Whenever there is a crisis such as floods, earth-quake or war with a neighboring country, people become united. They forget all their differences and stand together, helping one another. Their sympathy and empathy become active. They forget their old differences and become cooperative and helpful to one another.

Their tolerance level also rises up. The crisis conditions make man tolerant as he knows he can’t do anything to deal with the enormity of the situation. He also forgets his self-centeredness and selfishness.

In the story Weathering the Storm in Ersama, Prashant played a key role in keeping the people of his village together and united after the devastation in the cyclone. The adversity of the cyclone and large scale devastation united the people; they worked together and finally overcame their losses.
