Like human beings, there might be different types -- brave, courageous, timid, and average. Young seagull appeared to be quite timid. His siblings did not fear the fall from the ledge as much as he did; and they easily learnt to fly. He kept sitting on the ledge for approximately 24 hours. His mother had to devise a clever ploy to make him jump from the ledge. However, as soon as he jumped, his wings opened up and he began to fly.
