No, I don’t think bangle sellers have contemporary appeal in today’s life. This is in contrast with Sarojini Naidu’s ‘Bangle Sellers’.

The way she portrays about the bangle sellers from those old days when bangles were treated as one of the most important and traditional ornaments for women. Women with different age and with different roles (like wife, yet-to-marry, mother, etc) used different kinds of bangles as guided by the bangle sellers.

But now I don’t think women of this era give much importance to the usage of different bangles or modern women don’t use bangles at all. So I don’t think bangle seller have contemporary appeal today.

Explanation:

Bangles are very rarely found these day in the traditional form. But no matter how many generations come to an end and how many new sets of cultures get equipped in India, bangles will remain the same contemporary units as always.

There are various design models showing up in bangles, people are making money by selling bangles on the streets.

Thank you so much.
