Do you think beauty pageant are denegrating the image of women?

Well, I suppose it depends on how one would look at it. In my opinion, beauty pageants don't actually intend to denegrate the image of women nor does it objectify them. Beauty pageants don't brand a specific woman "ugly". They just appreciate both the beauty and intellect if women during various rounds. In my opinion, I think beauty pageants should be taken for fun and teaches us to appreciate women.
