yes a cellular level can exist independently based on a few conditions. it can be independent only if the cells are specialised to do many functions of life processes lile digestion , respiratiin , reproduction , etc. eg in the case of unocellular organisms like amoeba , paramecium and euglena the single cell performs all life sustaining activities.
