• In the story The Beekeeper and The bewitched hare the Beekeeper comes to know that the blue eyed hare has a bewitched girl name lassie from the old woman.
• The woman who visited his house was a witch wanting to take the hare with her, but the bees were protecting the hare from her.
• As Beekeeper returned to his home, he repeated the whole story that the old gypsy woman told the bees. Lad thought it too foolish to explain to the bees the whole story and asked them for help.
• On Halloween day bees helped him shield the hare from the influence of the witch and she also transforms into a lassie.
