Yes, Daedalus plan is effective and creative.

EXPLANATION:

Daedalus along with son Icarus required to flee from Crete. Daedalus knew there was no way to escape by sea, so he made, for son and him, a pair of huge wings. These wings were made from 100s of feathers which Daedalus and his son has gathered from the birds in the island and were held together with a strong wax.
However Icarus was not able to contain his excitement and because of his excitement, he flew up to the sun, and the wax in his wings melted. Because of this Icarus started losing ascent and tumbled down. Daedalus saw as his son losing height and he heard his frightened cry, as Icarus tumbled past him into the sea below.
However, Daedalus regained the height he required and, without looking back, set his course for the Sicily Island. There he expected that he would be welcomed and be allowed to live a painless life for the rest of his life. However long Daedalus lived, he was never be able to forget the sound of his son’s last cry as he zipped towards the water .
