Answer:

Yes, death penalty is the best punishment for criminals.

Explanation:

In these modern era, there are so many crimes happening around us like physical abuse, kid trafficking, murders, political briberies, corruption, drug and illegal business etc. Abusing has become too common and these acquists are jailed barely for 10 months to 2 years and they roam around the society normally and then abuse another girl. Seriosuly, the law should become strong only by issuin death sentences. Even in Nirbhaya's case, the acquists don't even have any guilt till the last minute of death but carefree. Only by issuing death sentences, these crimes would reduce atleast if not diminish.

Answer:

The death penalty violates the most fundamental human right – the right to life. It is the ultimate cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment.

The death penalty is discriminatory. It is often used against the most vulnerable in society, including the poor, ethnic and religious minorities, and people with mental disabilities. Some governments use it to silence their opponents. Where justice systems are flawed and unfair trials rife, the risk of executing an innocent person is ever present.

When the death penalty is carried out, it is final. Mistakes that are made cannot be unmade. An innocent person may be released from prison for a crime they did not commit, but an execution can never be reversed.

Explanation:

Convicted murderers can be sentenced to life imprisonment, as they are in many countries and states that have abolished the death penalty. Most state laws allow life sentences for murder that severely limit or eliminate the possibility of parole. Today, 37 states allow juries to sentence defendants to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole instead of the death penalty.

Several recent studies of public attitudes about crime and punishment found that a majority of Americans support alternatives to capital punishment: When people were presented with the facts about several crimes for which death was a possible punishment, a majority chose life imprisonment without parole as an appropriate alternative to the death penalty
