Yes, I think the District Planning Committee is relevant for the development of urban areas. The reason is that DPC functions in carrying out spatial level planning, sharing of resources and holistic development of infrastructure.
But the present scenario has not envisaged an adequate plan to improve DOC formulations. DPC Policy should be formed in each district of every state for effective development of urban areas."
