Do you think employees have access to information about other employees’ compensation level* (assume same hierarchical level) or should this knowledge be withheld from employees?

According to the human resource policies maintained by the top organizations, employees cannot get any access to information about other employees compensation, because if people get to know the compensation then they can misuse their power to suppress their colleagues.

On the other part, it can be supervised by the management or hierarchical level of an organization.

To some extent this can be true.

Employers have got information concerning the employees compensation.

They get to know this information during the time of employment as they get to know the biographical information concerning them.

Equally compensation is a human being consolation when met with a challenge at the time of work.

They are to be compensated equally and fairly without discrimination.
