In my opinion, I don't believe that the fly is wise. Her vanity cost her own life to the spider. She fell for the praises the spider gave, that she has pearl and sliver wings, green and purple robes, a crest on her head and diamond-bright eyes. She immediately began thinking about her own self and forgot about the dangers she had lured herself in. Though she managed to escape the wily spider's talks the first few times, she couldn't escape from him that time as her wiseness vanished into vanity.
