Horace Danby deserved the punishment that he got and he was rightfully punished.

Explanation:-

Horace Danby is a character from the story called "A question of trust". deserved the punished so far virtue ad vice is concerned. This is because, he could not be profited by the act of robbery in anyway and this was not the way he could continue to earn his living. Yet, he chose this option just to gather enough money to buy old and expensive books.

Buying and reading books is undoubtedly noble but it should not be done by robbing others and harming them. Here he was wrong. Hence he wiped out the feeling of "trust" from others' words through his actions and deserved to be punished.

I personally feel Horace Danby deserved what he got. We must not forget his prime intention behind breaking into the house was to break the safe open and steal jewelry.

Horace Danby represents the kind of people who adopt the wrong ways. Adopting wrong ways initially are quite tempting; but they lead to unending misery. Horace Danby was wrong in his thinking. In order to earn money he broke safes. It is illegal and morally wrong. Immoral things always end up in punishment and embarrassment. Horace was also caught by police and in the prison was regretful and sorry.

People who are prone to adopt wrong ways, I would like to advise them to imbibe the values of righteousness and high moral ethics. One should always earn one’s money through the sweat of their brow; they should not covet other people’s wealth and possessions.
