I am telling you the reason with Britishers under british rule and one the recent galwan ghati one.

The indian soldiers death was due to the British army was more organized and powerfully armed with top of the notch artillery system.

The indian soldiers death in the Galwan Ghati was due to the non expected attack from the preplanned Attack of China... Indian soldiers were not carrying arms in a way to fight and they did not had any first aid kit also.
