No it's not right ro kill an animal to save a human. Everyone has right to live.

cowand pig are killed for eating their flesh.

killing animal is a crime . humans should be punished for this.

According to this chapter the Jody's Father kill his dog and use its heart and liver to draw out to make the poison of rattlesnake and leave the fawn without a mother.

so in this world there is nothing without a mother
