It is absolutely true if we meet people with any prejudice in our heart, we make ourselves impervious to any goodness in them. Our prejudice does not let us see the goodness.

In the poem Dust of Snow, the poet’s mood was transformed by an ordinary bird of nature. As he was enjoying an evening walk on a wintry evening, a crow inadvertently threw some snow on him while he was passing under a tree. This uplifted the poet’s mood which had been melancholy for some personal reason.

The poet took the falling of snow as healthy sign; if he had taken it negatively, he would have been further depressed. If the poet would have considered crow an omen, he would not have enjoyed the falling of snow.

So, it is better to look at the world through optimism than negativity.
