In my opinion The convict had entered the right hiuse as he got justice there.
The convict was made a beast by heart by the wrong actions of society and the bad times of his own life.
But a person like Bishop of the same society reverts the situation by treating him with love and generosity. Once he had become beast and then he was again turned into a human by nature because of the Humanity showed by Bishop.
So, we can say that the convict got the justice at Bishop's house.
