technically, i think yes. he has a god complex too, to begin with.
sociopaths are basically people who don't care about other peoples feelings when they're the one to blame.
*spoilers ahead*
First of all, becoming god and deleting off people isn't right.
• Why was L trying to defeat Light? Justice. What Light was doing was wrong.
when L passes away, defeating L was his goal, So, he fake cries, basically acting like he truly cared for L but no, he doesn't. when L is slowly passing away, Light smiles to him as a indication of “i'm kira and i managed to defeat you."
• Light doesn't even look like he cared for his family, either. little did he know the impact on his life because of the death note? no. and that his family too got dragged because of his actions? no.
• but when you see the ending, when light is passing away, light is falling apart, questioning himself that why did he do this, he regrets his every action, which is picking up the death note itself. he used all his intelligence to do this, but he didn't realize the only "not-intelligent" thing he was doing was trying to become god.
i wasn't a fan of light before, but i feel pity on him because of the last episode. poor boy ruined his life.
