I dont think that management is a pure science.

Management combines features of both science as well as art. It is considered as a science because it has an organized body of knowledge which contains certain universal truth. It is called an art because managing requires certain skills which are personal possessions of managers

BUT

unlike Physics or Chemistry, is not pure science. ... However, in its application, Management is an art, as both knowledge and skill are required. Therefore,for a Manager to be successful, he or she must acquire knowledge scientifically, but apply the knowledge with skill like an artist.
