Undoubtedly Mrs. Packletide was able to achieve her heart's desire by outsmarting Loona Bimberton, but she had to pay a very heavy price for this. Her happiness she experienced by outshining her rival, Loona Bimberton lasted only for a short time. Miss Mebbin, her paid companion began blackmailing her. This made her exceedingly tense. She began regretting her decision to shoot the tiger. At the end she had to pay a whopping amount of 680 pounds to Miss Mebbin to keep her quiet. And she resolved never to indulge in hunting and rivalry with Loona Bimberton.
