• He tried to introduce the copper currency in his kingdom due to the shortage of silver. But this plan was completely backfired because the prices of the copper currency dropped a lot than the traditional silver currency. This incident weakened the Delhi sultanate.

• He also tried to increase the tax on the agricultural industry and that's why the farmers changed their occupation. This was also a failed attempt.

• He tried to shift his capital from Delhi to Daulatabad. But the execution process was very poor and that's why the whole attempt was failed.

In this way, he failed to increase the strength of Delhi sultanate and that's why he is referred as the "Wise Fool".
