no.he was not genius.because he shift his capital from delhi to devgiri.then he ran from there in one year because people were not feeling good there after leaving there homes.
2.he asked for taxe in doab region because of droat people were not able to not pay tax.
3.in history he is known as mad emperor because his life was full of failure.therefore he was not a genius.

just suppose he increse text on people why..just coz he knows that in future he may need all money for his happy life ...where other king give concentration on winning battles he increae revenue abiut thinking his future..so yes is genius at his time
