No... One should not decide his or her goal according to their economic status. For example if a poor person doesn't aim for what he wants then he wouldn't succeed in his life. If his parents are daily wage workers then he would also be forced to do the same work but in his mind there might be some other goal that he wanted to perceive but he could not go for it. If this is going to happen then the person and his upcoming generations would also be like him only and none of them would succeed in life.
