Answer:Environmental protection is the practice of protecting the natural environment by individuals, organizations and governments. Its objectives are to conserve natural resources and the existing natural environment and, where possible, to repair damage and reverse trends.

Also the heat capacity of the oceans is also aiding the Earth's temperature to be relatively stable. Why do we need to protect the earth? The environment is collapsing due to global warming, pollution, climate changes, etc. Protecting our environment also protects life on earth.
