Yes, I definitely think that reason and intellect fail before temptation. In the light of the story 'Jalebi', the boy was given the sum of four rupee to pay his due fees of the school. But when he went to the market and saw the luring, tempting jalebis coming out of the khadai, he lost his sense of reason and began buying the sweet syrupy jalebis before he could rethink his decision.
