Yes, Refund is a humorous play. The play Refund is packed with humor, dealing with an extremely absurd situation. Wasserkopf is the main character in the game. He's 40 years old. He couldn't find a job and everywhere he went people said he was fit for nothing and nothing worth while he studied

Explanation:

  • The principal is surprised when he tells him to repay the tuition fees, because he comes to school after 18 years and feels that he has not done anything that is worthwhile and can get back his tuition fees. The principal is in a challenging situation now and he arranges an urgent meeting with the staff members.
  • They decided to re-examine Wasserkopf and agreed that regardless of whether or not it was correct, they would prove that it was correct. One by one each teacher questions Wasserkopf and justifies his wrong answer to be right and the teachers mark him excellent.
  • Finally, a difficult question and easy question was asked by the Mathematics Master. Wasserkopf answers the easy question incorrectly and the master is angry and says he has failed his exam and is to be reimbursed for his tuition fees.
  • The Master says we have decided to return your tuition fees and you can now tell us the exact amount we must give. Wasserkopf gives them the exact amount without realizing he will fall into their trap. So the master of mathematics says that it was a difficult question to give the exact price you paid for tuition.
  • Wasserkopf then  proved to be excellent throughout the whole subject and is thrown out without any further discussion . The Play  is amusing and full of ludicrous situations . It also demonstrates the teachers ' ability to manage the situation and to deal with Wasserkopf without harming their school's reputation.
