septic tanks are of course a better option since they treat the domestic wastewater unlike the waste water released into water bodies. the waste water directly released into water bodies can contaminate the river and the animals living in that region. people consuming the water and the animals might get affected to and get major diseases. while on the other hand septic tanks help in in treating the waste water so cording to me they are a better option
