I think space exploration is a waste beyond certain point. Money should not be wasted on something that we cannot benefit from. We should not just explore space for the pleasure. Money comes from people's hard work.
Exploration of the conditions relevant to Earth, Earth's surface are important. Often knowing about Moon and nearby planets tells us a lot of things. That could be useful for the mankind.
Do you know that USA has stopped the explorations by the space shuttles after 25 years? As there is perhaps not much more to learn. Russia and China do not do too much of space exploration. Some countries have established their space stations ahead of other countries so that they are ahead in technology. If any war breaks out, then they are ready to fight in a better way even in space.
Space exploration can continue but not beyond certain point, in terms of funds or effort. Because the funds are very important for all countries now as there is shortage of funds for many projects.

Yes actually it is a waste of money because the money invested is used for nothing betterment of the public on EARTH .
