Yes, I think that telling lies may get one to an embarrassing situation. Taking the help of lies to tell about something or not telling the whole thing gets one into trouble. This happens to most of the people that when they tell lie they start to stammer or feel low in confidence which results in embarrassing situations. It is because of the lies that there arise issues among the people. Lies result in loss of interest, belief, and understandings. It is therefore that the lies bring people to embarrassing situations.
