No we cannot say that Horace Danby punishment was fully justified.
In this story their are two main characters in the story in which Horace Danby ( Mid-center of the story ) and a young lady.
That wasn't fully justified because he was thugged by the young and gorgeous lady who made Horace believe that she is the owner of the house to which he planned to rob and also ordered him to open the safe in exchange that she willn't report him to the police also made a false reason that she has to go to a party that night and wants ornaments to wear.
So the house was robbed by the lady but punishment was given to Horace Danby.
