Yes. Human beings ( Homo sapiens) are responsible for the extinction of animal and plant species. Because humans cut down forests for different uses. In which major use is for agriculture and housing. As a result many plant species become extinct. In the case of animals also humans are responsible. Because humans often destroy animals habitat and hunt animals. So animals become extinct. So from this we can conclude that human beings ( Homo sapiens ) are responsible for extinction of animals and plants.
