If you have a very delicious looking dish in front of you and a very untidy and bad looking food in front of you, obviously, I think so that you would definately choose to eat that good looking food. Even if you did not know the taste and smell of both the foods than also you would choose the good looking food. The reason for this is that when your eyes saw that delicious looking food, and when this sight was sent to your brain, then your brain perceived that this might be good for your body or tongue. So without knowing anything about the background of that food, your eyes helped you to choose the best food for you.
Nose :-
Let's come to nose now. Believe it or not that more than half of the taste of your food depends on the smell of that food. Try to eat some delicious ice cream or anything by just closing your nose. You would observe that the full joy of eating ice cream cannot be taken without nose. So in determining the taste of anything you eat, nose also plays an important part. That is why that during cold, when our nose is blocked we usually feel food very tasteless and then we do not desire to eat.
So, not only eyes and nose many other organs help us determine the quality of food that we are eating or are about to eat.
