It is quite true John Hallock was an excellent ghost story writer. There a fact that proves this. His ghost stories were quite popular; and Jenkins, the editor of the magazine for which he wrote stories on supernatural plots often asked him to write more stories for the magazine. He did so because the readers liked reading his ghost stories.
