i don't think that the present poverty estimation is correct at all . it seems that the government has given a blind eye on our country's poverty. morevoevr the poverty line described by UNO is almost 200 rupees per day, on the other hand it is only 28 rupees perday in india . prices may vary country to country , but earning only 1000 rupes and still not being supported at all is not fair.
