Yes, the reproductive health has tremendously improved in India in the last 50 years. The areas of improvement are as follows: (1) Massive child immunization programme, which has lead to a decrease in the infant mortality rate.

Some specific areas of improvement are -
1) Use of contraceptives -
People are now using contraceptives (mostly condoms & contraceptive pills). Hence, lot of sexualy transmitted diseases (like syphilis, gonorhea, HIV) are now in control.
2) Medical termination of pregnancy -
Due to legalization of pregnancy within 20 weeks of conception, now its not dangerous to terminate unwanted pregnancy.
3) Sex education -
Due to sex education to school children by goverment, reproductive hygiene has been improved.
