Do you think that resources are free gifts of nature as is assumed by many?

For me resources are not free gifts of nature. In fact, as the bible says, we are the stewards of God's creation. We are tasked to take care of all the natural resources and take from it what we need to survive.

Natural resources are not free gifts because when you say free gift, the recipient does not have to do anything in return or give payment. We, on the other hand, as recipient of the natural resources have the duty to ensure that the resources will not dry up and will last for a long time. We are responsible to nourish and make the natural resources flourish.
