India, her people, the languages they speak, the food they
eat, traditions they follow, deities they worship, festivals they celebrate and
how they mourn their dead are all components of Indian culture.
Indian culture is under threat today, not from outsiders but
from narrow minded and bigoted thinkers who take it upon themselves to defend
the culture from supposed outsiders.
The forces threatening it can take the form of;
1-
Religious groups claiming hegemony over Indian
culture.

heya!
indeed u have asked a very good and creative question..
I'm glad answering it..

so.. here's Ur answer

WITHOUT FESTIVALS- BY ANVI GOTTLIEB
India is the mother of culture, grandmother of traditions and of course great grand mother of diversity

we have the instances of various and varied cultures ,,, traditions and of course different spectrum of festivals here..
well...almost every day at India is a festival in itself due to its unitariness of course..

indianness is rooted in the hearts of our ancestors..being passed on to generations on generations..

I imagine an India where there has been no traditions, no festivals, no culture etc..
How would it had been then?
had it been the same?
surely not.

it would have seemed as if we were being drawn away from our mother land ..our unity our diversity and above all the various environments and auras we live in..
the nature of India as a country had surely not been and felt the same..

the colour splashes of holi,

the tinkling and sparkling fireworks of Diwali,

the Burning of effigies and the glory in everyone's eyes at Diwali..

the solemn head bow at the mosques on Eid,

the beautiful and dedicated extraordinary and dreamy Christmas bells and balls..

our sweet India is surely incomplete without these things..we surely can't imagine this place to be the same without these things..

this is plainly Because we indians are eternally emotional and grateful towards what our land has given us .. and we believe in celebrating it with pure joy and love in accordance with our motherland and to the peace it gives us at the bare sight of it..
