Yes, the nightingale was stupid and prone to influence. She could not see how the frog was manipulating her to achieve his own selfish goals and kept exploiting her talent. Even when he over stressed her, she couldn't stand up for herself. Though some people may call nightingale as being 'too innocent', after a point, innocence starts changing into stupidity. Knowing one's own self-worth and respecting oneself are the most important things that one needs to have.
