Do you think that the spirit of federalism is more effective when there is a coalition govt at the centre? Explain with reasons.

Yes as coalition government is formed by sharing of power between more than one parties. And the parties are mostly regional parties with which national parties allied to form coalition government.
Due to this, the central government would not be easily able to dismiss state government. The powers of state would increase. It would not remain more subordinate to the central government.

And this shows that spirit of federalism will more be effective in presence of coalition government as it ensures power sharing between parties at central and power sharing between central and state government....

sprit of federalism means power sharing . NO IT IS NOT DESIRABLE. 1. IN COALITION GOVT . THERE IS NO DESIRE SUPPORT OF PEOPLE ALONG ONE PARTY. 2. THE REPRESENTATIVE CHOOSE BY TOP LEADER IS NOT ALWAYS LOVED BY PEOPLE. .
