Answer:HERE U GO

Yeah, The title of the book written by William Shakespeare is absolutely appropriate because, in the play here " The merchant of venice " is Antonio. And the whole story is about him.

# He has a friend, named Bassanio, who is a spendthrift and needs money.

# He asks money to his enemy - Shylock., for Bassanio.

# His ships are out at sea,but he has over confidence that he will pay back his loan amount.

# He signs the bond.

# He gets into trouble because of his over confidence.

All these are the main points regarding the novel, all these include the melancholic plays of Antonio. He isn't the main character of the play and thus, being a very famous and intelligent writer , William Shakespeare kept the title of the play as ' Merchant of venice
